I always get this files in with my production files. and I have specified under the Save Options to save them in the Temp folder, I tried to create a folder and tell it to save them there... and I still get then where ever my original file was. can some one tell me the trick to getting this to stop?
I think you are confusing Backup On Save with Autobackup. Backup On Save will always be to the original folder. Autobackup will go to the folder you specify. Try watching the folder whilst editing a file, when you close Draw the Autobackup will be deleted.
Ok grant it I might be confused. So my new question why is there two Backup??? I can see one backup most programs do that incase there is a power outage or some type of system shut down. again why is there two backups and then which one keeps sticking these files in with my documents and why cant I redirect then else were or can I?
Hello Todd; the back up on save, makes a copy of the file before over righting the file you are working on. For those of us that use the Ctrl+S key all the time you would have a file that doesn't have the last changes made in the file. It's handy if you are thinking I don't like the last changes I made, you could open the backup file that wouldn't have the last changes.I have seen were it is very nice to have the backup if for some reason the file won't open.

harryLondon has written a very nice macro that gives you better control over how backup files are handled. There is a public version for X6 but I'm not sure if he has one for X7, yet.
I do have a version of the Useful Backups macro for X7 and have been testing it here. But the X7.1 update is due in June according to Gerard's post at http://community.coreldraw.com/blogs/gerard/archive/2014/05/16/coreldraw-graphics-suite-x7-and-looking-ahead.aspx so I want to test it with that and then see if any further changes are needed before posting a public test.
