open this doc. now make a new blank doc, switch back to culprit.cdr.
does it ask you to save it even though no changes were done? Why is that?

I can see the same thing you do.When I try to close your doc, after switching to the new and then back, I get a question whether I want to save or not.
Don't know why but there are two things that I usually don't have in my files; Callout shapes (the arrows but they are hidden in groups) and the line ends on some objects. Just a guess but there may be something there. There's also a specific spot color, maybe that's the culprit?
If you have the time, try to eliminate these three, one at a time, and see which one it is.

So strange. Draw a 3-point callout in a new blank document then save it. Now make a new blank doc and switch back to the saved doc with the callout. Now try to close it...Bam! "Would you like to save this crap?" I tested this with X6.4 and the problem is not there. What's up with that?
