Hi all,
I'm seeking a template for printable discs (CD and DVD) in a Canon Pixma iP4700 printer. Anyone know where i might find one?
Alternatively, I do have a template I used to use in Adobe InDesign, saved in both CS2 and CS5 formats. Can anyone help me with importing it into CD X7? Tricky bit is, I don't currently have access to Adobe software, to save it into any interim formats that might ease the transition.
Thanks for any help.
Mike,
You must have missed my update about the zip and finding out how to attach a file. But yes, it's still too big, even zipped.
In any case, I've upped it to wikisend. The download link is http://wikisend.com/download/670266/CD_tray.zip. The file is a template for Adobe InDesign.
Again, thanks for the help!
for use an Indesign file on CorelDRAW go to File and create a PDF (ie PDF X/3 or PDF X/4), then open the PDF with CorelDRAW
Hi Bran,
Strange template. Never quite seen one like it. Can you also share the Avery Label part number?
I have attached the CDX7 file. Desing layer is unlocked, guides and non-printing "template" layer is locked.

Hola, Ariel.
Can't do that, unfortunately, for a couple of reasons: as I said, I don't have InDesign at the moment to open the file and save it as another format; and PDF doesn't support the layers used. Thanks for the reply, though,

Mike, as I said, it's not a tmplate for labels. It's a template for the physical printer tray that comes wuth the Canon printer for printable discs. It requires the paper type to have the specs of the physical tray and the paper source to be the CD tray rather than the paper cassette. That may be why it looks odd to you.
Thanks for the conversion. Can I ask how you did it?
Added: actually, I sent you the wrong file. That's *also* why it looked so weird! ;-)
Sorry mate. I couldn't open it to check before i uploaded it. I don't understand how you got the template you did under that name. I'll have to have another look, and see if I do have the right template. Embarrassing!
