've been using corel X7 since it came out with no issues. In the last few days, when I try to start a new document, it (coreldraw) crashes. If I try to open a document, it crashes. the other corel programs work perfectly.. photopaint, capture... I've tried the F8 trick, I've uninstalled / reinstalled... completely uninstalled and installed X6... same issue in X6… I’ve reinstalled .net 4.5…
I've been using Corel for 21 years and this one has me stumped!
Becuase you'll no doubt ask, my setup is:
Dell Precision T5600intel Xeon e5-263064gb ramwindows 7 64bit
Thanks!
Hoping that I don't have to re-install windows!
We had a similar issue with several installations, came after a windows update. We also run Dell workstations and win/-64. The problem was related to a printer driver for our Canon C7010VP with Fiery rip. I uninstalled/reinstalled the printer driver at all workstations and for some I had to delete the printer settings file as well. This is a network printer which was set as default printer.

In windows 7, I'd expect "compatibility mode for windows 7" to be the same as not using a compatibility mode. There is surely nothing that is more compatible with windows 7 than windows 7 itself ... ?
I'm not even sure why it gives you that as an option. But maybe you've stumbled across a hidden and obscure feature that only makes sense to microsoft ... ?
I agree. Completely stupid - however, it made Corel work again... so I can't totally hate on the ridiculous nature of it!

I am having exactly the same issue with a Dell Precision T3600 running Windows 10. Windows updated last week and now Corel Draw X7 crashes when I try to open either a new or existing file. I get the Windows message coming up saying that the application has stopped working. Funnily enough if I don't close the error message i can carry on using CorelDraw, but as soon as I close the message CorelDraw shuts down. I have tried opening as Admin and that works, but I would like to fix the problem properly. There are no printer drivers on the PC, although there are two laser cutters (which use the print system to get files from the PC to the cutters).
