I wonder how many documents you can have in the" Open Recent " my reason for the question is sudeley they disappear from the list.

I think it is only 15.
There used to be a recentfiles macro available via oberon place, which was much more useful -- it had no limit as far as I can remember and acted as a permanent index to just about every file that had ever been opened. CorelDraw at the time had a limit of only 4. It made it very easy to re-open a file if you knew its name but not its path, even if you hadn't worked on it for a year. But I don't think it was updated for recent versions.
