Hey Guys,
System failure this morning :(
I have installed X7 and all updates to No.4 and no shell extension.
I have done a repair install but still no luck.
Does anybody know how to get it to install.
There used to be a checkbox to install it but that does not seem to be an option anymore.
Any help appreciated
TIA
Update... I got the Shell extension to install but still no Thumbnails!
This has worked for several people: Though for some people with the correct shell extension shown, only step 5 is needed.
1) From windows control panel, uninstall the Corel Graphics Windows Shell Extension
2) Make certain that programs likely to conflict (eg thumbs plus) are not configured to do anything with any Corel file extensions, especially CDR and CPT.
3) From control panel, do a change / modify install of Corel Graphics Suite X7 and go to this page. Thumbnail extension will I think show in the blank space (circled in red) if it is not currently installed.
4. Check control panel. If the shell extension shows a version lower than your X7 version, install the X7 update
5. If thumbnails are still not appearing:
If it still does not work after that -- recheck step 2.
Hi Harry,
Thanks for responding.
Still no Luck.
You can see from the screencap that everything is installed correctly.
All options are correct in Folder Options
I do have Mysticthumbs installed and it does nothing with CDR files but I uninstalled it just in case and still no Thumbnails in CDR.
Very frustrating it's like finding files under dos LOL
Any other suggestions?
Yes someone in sales doubleclicked a suss attachment and a virus ripped through the network.
So I had to reinstall CDR X7 then uninstall and reinstall at least 4 times, since then I can't get Thumbnails.
I also have no preview on CDRX7 in the task bar either, see screencap.
Everything and all other apps are working correctly just no Thumbnails?
Thanks for responding
...and yes thumbnails were working correctly before this.
