Ok this is the third one I've done in the past couple days, I went looking for people who had the issue and found three. Same thing, computer screwed up by the user or the computer technician, did all Windows updates, opened CorelDraw made sure it was signed in and updated. Closed CorelDraw and simply associated the CPT and CDR file formats with the proper program and all was well.
It obvious to me that every one I worked with that had the issue has a screwed up system some how.

I saw exactly the same situation three times in recent weeks. I just open CorelConnect, associate file extensions (right click/open with... ) and problem solved, thumnbails are visible again.
Not all tecnician knows how to setup or use CorelDRAW or other programs. They know what they need to use.

Apply your own workds to yourself. You repeat the same things several times, no matter if all users have already read about the same subject
btw I only share a solution that works with several users, maybe it will be useful also for other. I believe this is not something bad. Why I should stop?
Your "solution" is to buy another program, that means to preserve the error and use another program. My point of view is to find a solution.
Phil I could ONLY find 3 from Ohio to New Hampshire and two were screwed over by thief computer technicians and one was like you, a senior citizen hobbyist. DUH any wonder there was an issue.
Phil1923 said:I have a solution which is far better than yours.
This is not a solution of the problem, is to maintain the problem but use another program instead.
Imagine if PhotoPaint can't open JPG files, and your solution is to buy Photoshop. That doesn't solve the problem, it's just a workaround.
Phil1923 said: Am I allowed to repeat it or do you and David want to keep "reporting" every few days on how many times you have "fixed" the missing thumbnails problem.
Phil, you know this is not true. You start repeating the same post several times, with the same subject, one and once and aonce again, making an unwanted advertising to another company.
Phil1923 said:I keep posting that Mystic Thumbs ($50) solves the missing .cdr thumbnail problem because both you and David keep posting that it should not be used.
Once again, you know that this is not true. Everybody is free to use the program that they want or they need. All we use more than one program. You can use MysticThumbs if you like. I just want that the problem doens't happen anymore, that means Corel should solve the problem, instead to resign and leave the same problem on every release. I have the same rights than you, it's not self-promoting, I only share a solution that worked with many people because it could help other people, then you're not allowed to tell me that stop helping other people
Phil1923 I have a solution which is far better than yours.
