Print To PDF Issue (just stopped working)

I'm running CDX7 on windows 10 64 bit. I've always been able to use the Adobe PDF print option. We use this to save color separations to send to screen printer. Now out of the blue I've been getting an error message that the printer in unavailable. I've contacted Corel support (the biggest joke of a tech support known to man). A day later they emailed some things to try. Nothing they recommended worked. What's interesting is they also said the program wasn't designed to run on windows 10. So basically, if we can't help then it's not our fault -buzz off?

Any ideas?

  • Sure it's supported. It took patch 5.

    What revision is your X7? The last update on the Corel site for a patch (Update 6.1) makes X7 = 17.6.0.1021

    One of the fixes were for "specific printers" but I don't know if that also means the Adobe print driver.

    fwiw, versions 2017 & 2018 works finewith Acrobat 11's print driver. I no longer have X7 or X8 installed to try. But I have run them on Win 10 and didn't have an issue.
