Which corel product would be best suited for creating a catalogue for print that could showcase my products to my customers?
I own a plumbing business and have Corel Draw X3. I have used this in the past for Yellow Page design and other marketing. Thanks in advance for any help!
Also, are there any templates available that would help get this catalogue of mine off the ground?
Val,
Thank for the info. I will not need more than maybe 20 -25 pages depending on the size. I am not very good with Corel Draw. Would you be willing to share any examples that you have created? If you would it would help me greatly. My email address is matt.jones@callmp.net.

Thank you for the info. Your sunday scool lesson looks really great! If you could send me that flyer you mentioned I think it would help me alot. It's nice to be able to ask people like you about this stuff. It would take me alot of time to learn the things you've already learned.
Thanks again.
Hi Mat,
I create multi page catalogues all the time. Should you need any advice, please feel free to contact me. Corel Draw is easy to use and there are some simple things that you can do to ensure a good result. The beauty of X3 is that not only can you create a catalogue for print, but you can also publish that catalogue to PDF format. Making it good to email.
Good luck
I am just getting into catalog and web site design and am very interested in any tips you are will to share. So far I have used CoreDRAW mainly for engraving designs. The little bit of "print" work I've done is mostly to copy design for customer approval. So far all my brochure and advertising work has been done in Microsoft Word. I never thought of CorelDRAW for this kind of work but can see where it should be a good fit.
Anyway, if you have any tutorial sites that you can direct us to or any tips to share we'd be very appreciative. I need to expand and a real catalog that can then be adapted to some of our web page needs would be awesome!
Thanks,
A bit of insurance advice... As Save only the work you don't want to loose.
I do this with all jobs but particularly multi-page documents where plenty of work is involved.
1. Save As often as you go and you can never loose.
2. Create PDF files as you go to check your document. If an issue occurs that effects the PDF output, it is much easier to spot if you Publish to PDF as you go and check while the mind is still aware of what the most recent changes are. Often mistakes, wheather spelling or graphic stand out in a PDF as you don't see the guidlines and other screen attribute of Draw. Strangely more so that using preview in Draw.
Work safe and you will experience very little frustration. In fact when I do the above I never seem to need to do the above. When I fail to work safe I always wish I had. ;)
