Hi
I have just purchased an intuos touch 5 which came with bundled software including corel paint.
I am wanting to know how I can add text to my pages with this application.
I have a mac book pro and am wanting to create story book pages and logo's.
I have worked out the basics but cant seem to find access to text any where.
Any advise greatly appreciated.
Thanks
What program did you get again? Corel makes several with similar names... there's Painter, Painter Essentials, Paint it!, Paint-Shop Pro...
My first guess was that you got "Paint It!" which looks like it might not do any text at all. The full version of "Painter" should have a text tool that's not hard to find. Not sure about Painter 'Essentials"
Hope it helps
It came with Adobe photoshop Elemet 10, corel painter, sketchpad autodesk
sketch book express 11 ( which wont install ) and a couple of photo shop plug ins which I havent tried to install yet.
I purchased the intuos 5 to do storybook pages and logo,s not sure what the best programme to use is as I need to add text in both projects.
What application do you suggest?
Well, I haven't used all those programs. I do have Painter 12 so I can tell you that it will work with text, though it's much more advanced with regard to mimicking various brush / canvas / paper effects. So, in Painter 12 I have a toolbox that runs down the left side of my screen. One of the tools there looks like a large capital letter T. That's the text tool. When you select that tool additional controls become available to select different font etc.
As for what would be best for your needs.. I'm not sure. I suspect the freebies that came with the tablet aren't your best options, though they certainly would be the cheapest at this point. Painter is for making images that look like paintings with brush strokes and surface textures (think canvas/watercolor paper). It might work for you.
Hi again
I'm afraid that I'm not familiar with sketch book, express or pro version. Or the making of storybook pages.
Hopefully some others will see this thread and chime in.
If you want more help with Painter, it has it's own dedicated forum here: http://painterfactory.com.
CorelDraw Graphics Suite could no doubt do it, but I can't say if it's right for you.
This might help.

I also use Sketchbook Pro and it is amazing when you are drawing sketches and illustration. But it does not do vectors.
