I have lots of graphics files created by an early version of Micrografx Designer (2 or 3?). Is there any way I can read these and convert them into a current format?
Many thanks,
Barb
Hello Barb,
you can open and edit *.DRW files (Micrografx Designer 3.1) in Corel DESIGNER. The current version Corel DESIGNER X5 supports that file format as well as the other old Micrografx Designer file formats (*.ds4, *.dsf).
You can edit the files in Corel DESIGNER X5 then and save to any of the supported file formats. For future editing you should always save in the native Corel DESIGNER file format *.des then as only that file format supports all of the features and object attributes that you can set with the advanced tool set in Corel DESIGNER.
You can try out Corel DESIGNER X5 for free with the Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite X5 trial - available for download on www.corel.com/designer .
Best regards,Klaus.
Many thanks Klaus.
I just downloaded the trial version of Corel DESIGNER X5 and realise that it is only the PC version. I'm working on a Mac - is there a Mac version to trial as well?
Thanks again,

Thanks again Klaus.
We just tried to download the trial version on a friend's PC, but it reported an error (like Windows couldn't run this program) when we tried to execute it. We then tried to repair the installation, but that didn't help. Do you have any idea what the problem would be? My friend wasn't sure what version of Windows was running, or the memory capacity of his computer. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
Regards,
