Hello all,
I have the opportunity to purchase an older Laser Engraving machine that requires
a version of Corel Draw that runs on a Windows 98 operating system. Would anyone here know what
version that would be?
Also, anyone know where I might get my hands on that version?
Thank you kindly,
reggy
The best version for Win98 was CorelDRAW 9.0, perhaps you can find it on e-bay
HI.
I vote Draw 9 too. It will work very well for you.
Here' one for sale on ebay. It's the first I found so there's bound to be more.

Hmmmm ... I do not know if the equipment you bought was a bargain, or if he accepts an updated OS. Although CorelDRAW 9 is one of the most acclaimed versions by many users (including myself), don't you think that it's time to think about a general updating on your equipments? After all, the version of Corel X6 is now available and Windows 8 will be officially launched within one month.
Hello reggy; As said above ver. 9 would be a safe bet, ( I ran ver. 11 on a Windows 98 computer.) I think it would be wise to upgrade the software for that engraver, there are a few out there that might drive it. ( you could look at CadLink for one.) and you could go to the manufacture and ask them what's available for it. There are a lot of people here that doing engraving and they maybe able to point you in the right direction.
My Thoughts George
Thank you sir!
