Problem when converting to wmf in Corel 7

This is what my illustration looks like in cdr.....this is what happens when I convert it to wmf. The problem is with the red line....if I remove the line it converts fine...the line alone has the issue. I need help ASAP! Thanks

go to wireframe view and zoom really close to those nodes. see if any funny business going on there.

What I did was separate the line, convert it, erase the slash, edit the nodes so the line was repaired and saved it again. Then used it as an overlay. But, Myron, you are absolutely correct....while doing that I noticed some 'rogue' nodes. Some definite funny business! Just did the next illustration, which is built on this one, added a new line and didn't have any problems at all. Go figure! But I know what to look for now and maybe I can fix them in wireframe as you suggest. Thanks :)

I would also use EMF much more robust than WMF

OK....so I hit the problem again and this is the view as I separated the line, converted it to wmf and set out to erase the slash. This is the only way I've been able to isolate the rogue nodes. However it won't let me edit them out. It's REALLY annoying and a total time suck. Any ideas?
