Is this possible to do in photo paint and is there any tutorials on it?
Well I have kind of answered my own question here. I found a tutorial for doing this in Adobe Photoshop and went along the same lines in Photo Paint and came up with this photo of my little grandaughter which kind of looks like a sketch. Two copies one on top of the other then desaturate - invert - colour dodge - gaussien blur. Is there any other tips on how to improve this and make it even more sketch like?
I did this, but not in PP. Instead I used CorelDRAW version 11 (tried in X4 but couldn't get the same results) using PowerTRACE. It is a photo of my wedding day. I converted the image to a 200 dpi grayscale bitmap and used the "Trace as Sketch" option.
Hi PinkGem,
Another way is to try to vectorize your image by tracing it, in low detail and/or sensitivity.
The results are very interesting.

Hi.
That looks like one of those old type printers' outputs...what were they called?

I want to hand colour the sketches when I can perfect them.........I can print them out onto watercolour paper and watercolour them with inks.......just need to get the lines a bit darker on my version
