My job doesn't require me to do much more than minor tweaks to photos, so this is beyond my level of expertise.
One of my students sculpted a dragon. I have a photo with the original background deleted, leaving a plain white background around the dragon. I can't remember how to turn it into a PNG, if that's what I need.
I want to add that dragon atop a background of fire. The background seems much larger than the dragon, in terms of pixel height.
I did look for a tutorial, but what I found requires more modern versions of the software than X5.
Can anyone guide me through this? Thank you, and have a wonderful day.

hit the "w" key (magic wand), click on white and delete, save as transparent png
I posted a lengthy reply outlining what I did, what did not work, and what I hoped to learn. I tried to include a little picture of the sculpture for reference. Some bot or algorithm flagged my post as spam or abuse and deleted it. Maybe a mod can help, but I see no way of contacting them.
I'd really like to have better experiences using this software and these forums.
Are you really running X5? You do know X5 is 9 versions old?
And my car is from 2015. But it still drives.
X5 does what I need.
I simply ask because many times people post in the wrong forum.
