This happens once a year or so, and I can never remember how to recover. For example . . .
The Select pointer no longer appears on my images when I move the mouse over them. I see the mouse pointer outside PHOTO-PAINT, and above the PHOTO-PAINT toolbars and menus, but the pointer disappears the moment it SHOULD pass above a bitmap.
The Clone Tool: I use it all the time. Normally, I see TWO circles: One where info is pulled from, and one where that info will go to. Now, I see two little paint brushes, side by side, with no circles to indicate nib size, so I have to guess how large my clone work will be.
I have tried holding SHIFT while launching the application, but this does not work.
Can this be fixed without reinstalling the software?
Hold the F8 key down as you launch the program.
