So, I've read the post re: no scanning capabilities using 32bit drivers through x6 64bit...
and I've further read how some drivers are listed on Manufacturer sites as BEING 64bit when in fact, they're NOT, and in fact are 32bit but will function through Windows WIA (Again, but not x6)...
Can people post their Success Story scanners? ie, Ones that actually do have 64bit drivers and Work with CorelDraw x6 64b?
We will support a lot more scanners with the first update of X6 scheduled for later this year, as we will add support for WIA in addition to TWAIN then. This will be a free upgrade to everyone who purchases CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6.

I've read the post about a solution may/should be out to resolve this issue sometime in the next year... that is not my question.
I'm given to understand that the issue is one of some Scanner Manufacturers not actually making 64bit drivers. If this is the case, there ought to be some scanners that actually do function with the 64bit version of CorelDraw x6. And I'm looking for some discussion and answers from the Community as to some examples from their personal experiences of which ones will.

Hi,
If someone actually succeds in supplying such info, it would be fabulous. When Microsoft launched Windows 7, regardless of 32 or 64 bit, they supplied their Virtual Machine, so that companies especially, would be able to run their hardware such as scanner and inkjet/laset office printers.
Still the information, confirmation from Gerard/Corel to your question is a very good official announcement.
If you right now is in the situation of biying a scanner, some scanners come with their own scanner software, which may not be 64 bit, but 32 bit, and which you can run on a 64 bit computer. My own office printer of daily use, Canon LiDE 210 comes with a Canon software called MP Navigator. You will be able to scan with it on a 64 bit computer. You will be able to make a setting quite easy, within their MP Navigator software to have your scanned images opened in your 64 bit CorelDRAW & PHOTO-PAINT.
I understand one can use other software to scan, this isn't the issue. I'm specifically addressing the point of x6 compatibility... not workarounds.
The problem is even more difficult though, because Scanner Manufacturers are supplying drivers listed as 64bit but still do not in fact work with x6. I've been led to believe that while the mfg's are stating that these drivers ARE 64bit they are not, and are in fact 32bit but FUNCTION in a 64bit environment (just not with CorelDraw x6 64bit).
So, the question still remains, Can anyone post an actual example of a scanner working with CorelDraw x6 64bit? Not workaround, not I use this method to scan then bring it into x6, but actually scanning with x6.
