I do have a question: Any idea when Corel might update CorelDRAW to fully support 16 bit (what you call 48 bit) color files in features like "Lens", Effects, etc. Although many users don't want or need 16 bit files, I do: Shooting with 16 bit Phase One cameras and sending large images to wide format printers with a 16 bit RIP and also interfacing my input and output with Nuke and Maya.
To compete in the pro market, it's inevitable Photo-Paint will go 16 bit color, even Corel's own PaintShop Pro as well as inexpensive photo editors like Photoline fully support it. I just wonder when.
