Line Color

Is there a way to change the color of a single line... from one node to another on a polyshape without breaking it?

For anyone reading this that is familiar with Versaworks for the Roland print and cut machines... what I need to do is to be able to cut only portions

of a polyshape, leaving some lines intact.

I've had some success just dropping one duplicated polyshape onto another and then breaking the line at the node, but it's not as elegant a solution as coloring individual lines on the same shape could be.

Select the nodes with the shape tool then copy & paste.
Or with your Duplicate Offset settings set to zero just select two nodes and hit cntrl+d

Thanks for the reply... I gave that a shot, but it assigns a color to the outline of the entire shape, and what I'd like to do is assign a color two only a portion of the line between two nodes, without having to break the continuous line.

What Myron was telling you is that in X8 you can select as many nodes as you like, then copy them and paste them exactly back in place then change the colour of the new line to CutContour. Basically you are just duplicating the section of the line back on top of itself it's, just an elegant way of doing it.

X7 allows "duplicate" and copy paste but X8 only allows copy and paste.

I wasn't familiar with that, but trying it, it seems to me like a bug in X8.

When curve segments are selected, Edit->Duplicate is available, not grayed out.

If Edit->Duplicate is used, or Ctrl-D is used, then the status bar changes, showing the result it should if the selected curve segments had been duplicated - even though no new curve has been created.

The Product Help for X8 shows Duplicate as an operation that should be applicable to selected curve segments.

Perhaps someone can comment here on whether this has been fixed in CorelDraw 2017.
