Many times a user needs to use the designs created using CorelDRAW in an application that does not recognize DRAW files (.CDR). Here we need to export the designs from DRAW files in a format that is readable or say recognizable by another application. It is just like having a translator that translates the information contained in a DRAW file in such a format that is readable to another application. User needs to identify or know the formats that are readable by another application and export the design from CorelDRAW in such formats. In some cases the user may have to provide additional information depending on the file format chosen for export.Exporting from CorelDRAW fileMethod 1Step 1Open CorelDRAW file and activate the page containing objects that you need to export.Step 2Select Export from File menu. (File >Export) This will bring up the export dialog box.Step 3Select the desired type of file format you wish to export as.( JPG, TIFF, BMP, EPS etc.) Provide with a path and name for the exported file.Step 4a) To export the entire page - Make sure ‘Selected only’ is unchecked. b) To export only some part of design or some of the objects from the page - Make sure to select the desired objects from the design and check the ‘ Selected only’ check boxStep 5Click Export button. This will bring up a dialog box. The contents in the dialog box depend on the file type you selected to export as. Enter the information as per your requirements in the dialog box. Normally ‘Last used’ settings and values are retained by DRAW.Step 6Click Ok.
Note : Additional dialog box may come up in case any additional information is required for export. Especially while exporting to .JPG, a box where user needs to provide with compression settings for the exported file is brought up.
