1- Type your text and then convert it to curves by pressing Ctrl + Q.
After converting to curves your text will no longer be editable. Make sure you save a copy of your text object before converting to curves.
2- With your converted “text” object selected, switch to the Artistic Medial Tool (Toolbox > Artistic Media or ‘I’).
3- On the Property Bar choose the Brush and choose Texture in the Category drop-down list.
4- Sample the different brushes in the Texture category for varying effects.
Tip provided by Richard Reilly, Graphic Designer and CorelDRAW Master.
I opened CD X8 as soon as I read this great tip - I added a duplicate text with a fill of black sent to the back the top text with the Texture media and filled it with white looks like the edges were painted and still wet. A great look thanks for the idea!
