It's probably something quite simple. Hope so anyhow.
A few versions back when I entered a custom size for text (say 37.5 points) that figure was retained in the size drop down box while I had that file remained open.
That feature no longer is there in 2018 or later.
How do I get it back?
Thanks
I've recorded and assigned simple macros before nothing as potentially complicated as this. No idea where to begin...

I wasn't suggesting that you try to write something to do this. I asked about your general feelings about macros to find out whether you were receptive to the idea of using them. Some people are not, and I am in general not going to expend much effort trying to change their mind - so I ask.
If you want to see some examples of the sort of macros I write, see my blog:
Eskimo's Macros and More.
Thanks Eskimo
There' a lot of good stuff there. I'll have a proper look later.
All the best, Colin
Probably best to use the >Object> Styles< Window for that.
Any text now can be quickly changed to that "style"
Thanks for your input. Sorry to be dumb but I can't find "From Selection" in my Object Styles window.
My workaround at the moment is to copy and paste the text size to the Styles box and then "Apply to Selected" to other text. Hardly ideal and pretty inflexible. The "From Selection" option sounds as if it does the same job but more efficiently. If I could find it.
Sorry! I was looking for it in Cdr 2018. It's not there but is in 2019, obviously a new feature. Worked perfectly in 2019 and then the program crashed - just blinked out, no warning or hanging. That of course is why I do most of my work and still spend most of my time in Cdr 2018...!
