I cut text in Metal Designs and I would like to bridge Letters like O, A, e, D etc. so the center will not fall out. I cannot always use a stencil font. Is there a way in Corel to do that?
watch this videowww.youtube.com/watchI implemented this in my project Draw-AppTaras
There are a number of ways you could create those bridges in CorelDRAW.
I think that one of the easiest ways to do it would be to use the Eraser tool.
I would create small rectangles where needed, group them together and then "Trim" (Object > Shaping > Trim) with the text.Note: The text will be converted to curves.
This is it. Thank you, I will try that and see how this works for me.

What you suggest is a great approach that allows one to tweak the bridges before using them to trim the shape. My Eraser tool suggestion just does it on-the-fly; no chance to adjust before committing.
For the approach you suggest, instead of drawing Rectangles, another way to set that up would be to draw two-node lines, then use "Convert Outline to Object" to create the shapes that will be used to Trim the letters.
That allows one to easily adjust the line width before converting the two-node lines to closed shapes. It also makes it easier to create such a bridge at an angle (if that's something that someone wants to do).
Good idea, Eskimo.
