I have no intention of ever upgrading from Corel 2021, but I keep getting these annoying popups asking me to upgrade. Last time it happened I opened task manager and saw the it was a program called CUH.exe (Corel Update Helper). When I stopped the task the popup disappeared. The file is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\CUH\v2\
Anyone know if it's safe to delete this file? THX!
Dan
I believe you should be able to get rid of all (?) popup messages by deleting a specific folder and replace it with an empty text file.In "C:\Users\ < your username > \AppData\Roaming\Corel" there is a folder, "Messages".Delete (or rename) this folder and create an empty text file with the same name instead, i.e. "Messages" without the ".txt" suffix.Should take care of it.
I found a setting in the program to "turn off messages" and am waiting to see if that fixes it. If not I'll try your solution, thanks. Either way I'll report back here with the results.
Been not getting popups for long enough now that I can say your suggestion worked, thanks. The setting I found turned of one of the popups but apparently they come from two places. Thought I had it solved until it recurred about a week later. Tried Ronny's fix and now the popups are gone for good.
Glad to hear you found it useful.Works fine here too, so I assume Corel will soon find a way to stop us from using this little trick.
