Program crashes unexpectedly while performing various tasks (e.g., saving, printing, copying, pasting, etc., etc.). So far no tweaks suggested by Corel tech support over the last 3 months have resolved the problem. I exclusively use CorelDRAW to make life/safety diagrams of medical facilities. Typical workflow is to import PDF of existing diagram, ungroup, edit, save, and export new diagram to PDF for distribution. I am an experienced CDGS user, and am using a new Dell computer (plenty of RAM, good GPU, Windows 11, and all the software is up to date. Crashes less often when I perform my edits at a snail’s pace, but even then it crashes unexpectedly…seems like the program is having a problem managing multi-tasks. I’m sure that other CorelDRAW users have experienced this problem and hopefully found a solution. I joined the CorelDRAW community to find a solution. HELP!
Thanks David!
As I said it's random! Even today I tried to crash CDR with the save and zoom and nothing. I have SketchUp open as well. Barely moving the resource needles.
Tomorrow could be different.
However I did manage to crash CorelDRAW by importing a SVG file which CorelDRAW is meant to be compatible with.
FRONT-211254.zip
This what is in the zip file
As CorelDRAW does not support single line fonts (OPF) used a online single line font generator which I used in the past. However today CRASH.
This would be a nice feature for CorelDRAW to have. There is a TTF version but the engraver / plotter would go over the line twice instead on once for the OPF version.
Thanks again David!
Cheers

Your 9th gen i9 is beaten by a 12th gen i5, Its called progresshttps://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i9-9900K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-12400/4028vs4122

Neither have I.
I don't beleive graphics cards have much influence on Draw.
Obviously not in real world settings? I have no issues with slowdowns and crashes, today I was running a file that used 2.56 GB of memory and when rapidly zooming the GPU would surge in some cases 9 to 14%
If there's one thing I've learned is that there are benchmarks then there are benchmarks.
I'll try the font. What you're describing seems like system instability of some type. Why? Who knows?
The question I have is why doesn't my system do this? Not only my current system but none of my last 3 systems had issues.
Another weird one is it's known that CorelDRAW has issues with AMD . However my wife's piece of crap HP laptop with an AMD processor and AMD video runs CorelDRAW (slowly) but in a very stable manner. WTF!
