Hello, I have the little line (shape, fill) as shown in the attachment here.
I can't see any error in the nodes (at the left). It's correct when I zoom in certain factors (middle). And it exports like that in Photoshop.
But when I activate the overprint view and zoom, in some (not all) zoom factors there is like an artefact. At the right in the image. And most interesting: exactly this is also exported then as (high resolution) PNG.
Why does Corel change the shape in the zoom and especially in the PNG ? (while Photoshop does not)
Can I somehow find a solution so that Corel just exports the shapes as they are really?
Thank you.
Please post a link to your file so I can download and test it.
thank you. I tested this with my 2019 version and it displays and exports fine as PNG, without the shown artefact. So this is either something about 2023 or about the 2023 SE that I own.
I just posted this as I hoped that other users have seen such a thing before and there is a workaround. As this is working in 2019 then I will use 2019 for export, but perhaps there are some hints how to use the PNG export in a optimal way in 2023 (SE).
If I export to SVG there is no change on my system. If I export to PNG as long as I choose 600 DPI or higher there is no change.
Ay lower resolution I see the issue that you see. I may have 2019 laying around somewhere to test.
Thank you, yes my task would be to export a PNG as the best pixel file option. I don't have the 600dpi option at PNG, is this new in 2024 or perhaps because of my SE in 2023?
ok I found that I can enter the dpi manually, is this the case in your version also?
(I have an resolution option, but can only choose up tp 300dpi, but can enter manually as I learned now)
SE means Special Edition, just a version of CorelDraw.
I don't know crap about versions I only by the full subscription version and have only had the full versions since version 3. On my version I have to type in the resolution if higher than 300 also.
I would beware of posting such an image of such an object on the web as a raster.
ok thank you. Sometimes I need a PNG to export, and if I think about it it's even better in 600 dpi :). But I did not know that I can enter this manually, so this was very helpful.
perhaps in the future CorelDraw offers this 600dpi as an option to choose directly.
of course the error of the change in the shape remains after all, but for my tasks it's good that it works in 600 dpi.
Cool, I hope it works out.
I can confirm your findings and even though there is a workaround, I think Draw should be able to make a better 300 dpi conversion of these (any) objects.
and thank you again. Yes, especially since CorelDraw 2019 could do it :). For me it is ok with the 600dpi now as it is in general good for vector lines to export in pixel in 600dpi, just did not know about the manually defining. But most people perhaps don't know it and just use 300dpi by default.
FYI any version of CorelDRAW that I have back to 2019 by default convert these items the same as 2024. I have not tested 2018.
The question is why must you have a raster version? My understanding, (I avoid web work like it's the plague) is that for web this was art of what SVG was supposed to handle.
As mentioned I am glad to have learned this about the manually enter the 600dpi. Sometimes I need a PNG, sometimes I need a SVG. I think it's ok to think that CorelDraw can export a PNG without errors in 300 dpi :).
I have the 2019 full version of CorelDraw as well and it can export it in 300dpi without errors while the 2024 makes the shown errors.
