All I can detect from the marketing is variable line widths. And....well, I don't know so the marketing is pants, its not telling me what IS ACTUALLY NEW. So I suspect it amounts to very little
Where are the beta guys? Whats actually new?
When I download the trial will I find a lot of historical buges fixed?
As far as I can tell that variable stroke width tool is the only actual new feature. But there is some new document templates!Adobe introduced the Width tool in Illustrator 13 years ago with version CS5. Art Brushes and Pattern Brushes have been in Illustrator for what seems like forever; they're far better implemented and far easier to use than the clunky implementation of brushes in CorelDRAW, packed under the Artistic Media tool.
I counted 24 listed items on the compare chart, I have not updated yet and won't have a chance until later today. I have a few things I want to check and I'll have to search for things that were done that didn't make the list. Fortunately most of the best added features in the last 4 updates were not listed.
Really mostly the stuff the younger crowd wants I'm still looking for the supposedly new scaling tool.
I opened up a 3.46GB booklet I did awhile back and I'm seeing significant performance improvement.
Scaling tool? Would that be that additional scaling option added to the Transform palette last year?Where is the "compare" chart showing CorelDRAW 2023 features versus prior versions?
The expanded compare chart on the web site shows 2023 subscription, 2023 perpetual and 2021.
The expand is at the top, of the chart. The scaling tool is listed as new for 2023.
