The "CorelDRAW graphic suite" product quality decreases with every version.
New features, replacing existing functionaliy, are slowing down productivity drastically.

Well, I'm back to X8. And I won't buy any new version as of now until the old interface will be back, and development will focus on fixing issues with existing implementation (e.g. the Photo-PAINT Mesh warp tool, currently being displayed in a tiny, tiny window. Or the mask tool not hitting the right upper left corner with Crosshair cursor type selected. Same for Tone Curve tool.
You're most likely better off, believe me it's you not the program.
Let's just not get into a discussion about your feelings in contrast to one about knowledge. Believe me, it's the program.
Just so that you understand that it is you. The three colors system, stroke, fill and background has been there forever and it's because people want objects, (layers). You need a color for the background if you want one, one for fillings objects and one to add a stroke to objects. It's the same in any vector or raster program.
Alignment works perfectly for me; I just finished the last of 23,000 of my own images in the last 13 months. Not to mention client images no problem with alignment. Maybe you've got something built wrong.
The adjustment docker can be modified to have as many features in it as desired. If you're scrolling reduce them, the new docker was the best improvement in Photo-PAINT in years.

Yes. And it has been removed in CorelDRAW 23. You should have read my original post thoroughly.

No. Any other programs I know (e.g., Adobe, Microsoft), just have a two-color system: Stroke and fill.

Yes. And if you need all of them, you will have to scroll. The former separation into several dockers was preferrable as it's been faster and more streamlined to use.
Here you go. The background color as always can be chosen in the new document dialog, however that background color when you used the eraser tool was thankfully removed. That feature is not a document background color it's simply a color used with the eraser tool, the background color is for the document and is chosen in the below create a new image dialog. CorelDRAW will allow a page color to be set and Illustrator used to, but I haven't used it for quite a while.
The fill and stroke color interface were modified in 2019, (not by my request) but it's really the same old thing with a different look.
If you need to have the background color for the eraser tool, simply place an object behind the object you're going to erase and fill it. Far more flexible than the old background color.
As far as alignment it works perfectly for me.
I have two issues with the adjust docker, some wanker thinks I must have white balance and replace colors always on. Light tone curve and vibrance is used by me 90% of the time if I need something else, I turn it on. No more hogging up the workspace with multiple dialogs.
CorelDRAW support, exactly what is that?
