PrtScn stopped working with new CorelDraw

Installed new version and now the PrtScn button doesn't work.  I can access it by using WIN-Shift-S but I'm so used to hitting PrtScn it's really annoying.  PrtScn works in all other programs other than the new CorelDraw/PhotoPain

  • Hello,

The update might have altered some of the default settings or key mappings for CorelDraw/PhotoPaint. Here are a few things you can try to get your PrtScn button working again:

    Check CorelDraw/PhotoPaint Settings:

    Open CorelDraw/PhotoPaint.
Go to Tools > Options (or press Ctrl+J).
Look for a section related to keyboard shortcuts or preferences.
Check if the PrtScn button is assigned to a different function or if it’s disabled. You might need to reassign it to the screenshot function.

Update or Reinstall CorelDraw/PhotoPaint: Ensure you have the latest updates for CorelDraw/PhotoPaint. Sometimes updates can fix compatibility issues.
If updating doesn’t help, try reinstalling the software. This can often resolve issues caused by corrupted files or settings.

Check System Settings: Make sure that no other software is intercepting the PrtScn key. Sometimes other programs can override or block the default behavior.
Verify your keyboard settings and shortcuts in Windows to ensure nothing is conflicting.

Use Alternative Methods: If the issue persists and you need an immediate solution, you could use WIN-Shift-S to capture screenshots and then paste them into CorelDraw/PhotoPaint manually. This isn’t as convenient but can be a temporary workaround.
    Reset CorelDraw/PhotoPaint Preferences:

Sometimes resetting preferences to default can resolve quirky issues. Look for an option to reset settings in the preferences menu.

    Hope that helps!
