I recently did a fresh WIN 11 install on my...MISI laptop 32 gig ramI7 Late model3080 GPU with 16gig vramLatest - Studio Driver Installed
PS: this was a fresh install, it was running Win 11 before reinstalling, and CD 2022 ran fine.I purchased the latest CD 2024 and have to say I am very disappointed in the performance.I have selected the Nvidia 3080 as an option for Hardware Acceleration.
Interesting. I watch CPU and GPU performance in Task Manager, and CD never uses more than 18% of the CPU. I don't think it actually ever uses the Nvidia GPU, even though I have selected it. The fans often spin up on my laptop, even when I am just zooming in or out, I never had that before this version. Today, just changing pages in a file spins up the fans, and I have to wait for 5 seconds or more for the page to show.ITS JUST SLOWAt the moment, I would happily go back to the 2022 version; it was faster.
So, any suggestions? I just can't work it out. I've been a CD user for 30+ years every day, so I know how it should run and feel.
Does you video card have a studio driver available?
Yes I am running the studio driver, always have, and I download the latest studio driver regularly.
I see you posted in the Mac forum. Are you running Windows 11 on a Mac? Is it the pro version of Windows?
Gos thats my bad, I didnt realize, I will repost in the Win area..
So, I can assume that you're running Windows 11 on a true Intel machine.
Unfortunately I'm running Windows 10 Pro and I cannot help.
