After a crash there are some recovered.cdr files left somewhere - i can't find out where in the hard disk - and every time I start coreldraw 2024 it pops up a window telling me to recover them. Please, is there a way to stop this?
Hi!In the options menu, you will find the path to your backup files...
Hi Stephan,
thank you for the suggestion, I had that in mind, but the recovered files are not there. Maybe Corel can enlighten us on this issue.
I believe this is a known bug and they are working on a fix.
You have to search in Regedit into the next path:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\CorelDRAW\25.0\Draw\FileRecoveryYou will find inside the key (directory) some values (files) pointing on mising auto-backup files, delete all of them and the problem is solved
Hi vevedah, this worked, thank you a lot!
However the problem is not solved, it's a bug and Coredraw has to deal with it.
By the way, I faced a new bug today: I right clicked on a color on the palette together with Ctrl key, a common practice we use to slightly change the color of an object, but I did it without having selected any object. That caused the appearance of the warning window "The tint you are performing will change the color space of one or more of your objects". The problem is that the window was not going away by clicking OK, X or pressing Esc key. I had to press Alt+Ctrl+Delete and end Coreldraw task, resulting in the loss of my unsaved work till that moment.
