In CD23 I could drag and drop a pdf into the workspace and it would reproduce nearly perfectly. Now, with CD24 the same action deformats all the text and is essentially unusable. Thank goodness I kept 23 on the desktop because I have to use that to edit . Did Adobe force corel to corrupt their handler inorder to sell subscriptions?
Does anyone know what settings to change to make it work properly?
What application created the PDF?

Thanks for your revert. Can you also confirm how the PDF import is if you uncheck this option in the dialog "Maintain paragraphs, text flow, and formatting"? Also can you share the PDF file you are trying to import to investigate further

Leaving the maintain paragraph text flow and formatting rarely works so I try it and rarely use it.
It really depends of the application that creates the PDF, the fonts used and the fonts that you have installed on your system.
Thank you for your advice. It threw me for a loop because it wasn't working the way it had for the previous decade or so. You're absolutely right tho. I've seen some real jumbles on imports. Since I hadn't changed any settings during any previous upgrades it was a shocker that pdf import / drop would need to be adjusted.
