Hello all,
I am working on layouts in Corel where I create black and white art for text and borders and have photos in the layout which are png files wiht transparent backgrounds. Normally, I export these layouts as both pdf and eps files for another group to use with no problem, but this time the photo I have in my layout keeps splitting into a group of many child bitmap objects when imported back into Corel. I've done everything to try to prevent this with no luck. Just wondering if any one else has had that issue and what I may or may not be doing that causes it. I assumed it has something to do with the particular photo I'm working with, but after playing with it forever, just finally gave up. I solved the problem by just making the photo a jpg with a white background, which isn't optimal as I'd like to keep it a transparent png, but had to do this in order to get the job out.
Anyway, thanks in advance for your time and any help you can provide.
Thank you!

EPS has its limitations, and I'd say the transparency is definitely the issue here.Try exporting to EPS with Compatibility set to "Postscript 3", to see if it makes any difference.
EPS 3 as far as I know only offers smooth shading for vectors not transparency support over EPS 2. I so rarely use EPS any longer I forget all its shortcomings.
