Hello!
I am having an issue in regards to creating multiple .PLT files at one time. Basically, I used variable data in Indesign to create 523 eps files containing just 1 name per file. I want to open these all in CorelDraw X7 and export them all out as .PLT files. However, I do not want to do this 1 by 1. Any thoughts on how to do this?
So I have created a macro for exporting a file out as a .PLT file. My problem is, when I try to do this for each document, it is just saving over the first file.
Can you show your code?
Sub PLT() ' Recorded 4/22/2020 Dim expopt As StructExportOptions Set expopt = CreateStructExportOptions expopt.UseColorProfile = False Dim expflt As ExportFilter Set expflt = ActiveDocument.ExportEx("C:\Users\kevinc\Desktop\prod files 2\SO440065 PROD_4.plt", cdrHPGL, cdrAllPages, expopt) With expflt .PenLibIndex = 0 .FitToPage = False .ScaleFactor = 100# .PageWidth = 8.5 .PageHeight = 11# .FillType = 0 ' FilterHPGLLib.hpglNoFill .FillSpacing = 0.005 .FillAngle = 0# .HatchAngle = 90# .CurveResolution = 0.02 .RemoveHiddenLines = False .AutomaticWeld = False .ExcludeWVC = False .PlotterUnits = 1016 .PlotterOrigin = 0 ' FilterHPGLLib.pltPageCenter .Finish End WithEnd Sub
You have to use unique name for exported file to avoid overwriting
Try following:
Sub PLT()
' Recorded 4/22/2020
Dim expopt As StructExportOptions
Set expopt = CreateStructExportOptions
Dim mydoc As String
expopt.UseColorProfile = False
mydoc = ActiveDocument.Name
Dim expflt As ExportFilter
Set expflt = ActiveDocument.ExportEx("C:\Users\kevinc\Desktop\prod files 2\" & mydoc & ".plt", cdrHPGL, cdrAllPages, expopt)
With expflt
.PenLibIndex = 0
.FitToPage = False
.ScaleFactor = 100#
.PageWidth = 8.5
.PageHeight = 11#
.FillType = 0 ' FilterHPGLLib.hpglNoFill
.FillSpacing = 0.005
.FillAngle = 0#
.HatchAngle = 90#
.CurveResolution = 0.02
.RemoveHiddenLines = False
.AutomaticWeld = False
.ExcludeWVC = False
.PlotterUnits = 1016
.PlotterOrigin = 0 ' FilterHPGLLib.pltPageCenter
.Finish
End With
End Sub
Thanks that worked!
Do you know why .plt is not an option under the fileconverter macro?
You are welcome.
Sorry I don't know.
