I have been trying for years to get snap to grid work. This is a literal statement. Ever since version 8 I believe. Anyhow I want a .20" square grid (5/inch) and I want to snap to each vertice but it is very unreliable. It snaps elsewhere or not at all. It does snap to grid now and then but that's not good enough. I would think that this would have been corrected by now but... perhaps I have something not set properly?
Hello,Step by step recommendation to solve problem1. Show rulers2. Double click ruler and set units to inches3. From Object manager make grid visible4. Option/Grid horizontal 5 lines per inch, vertical 5 lines per inch5. Turn off Snap to Object, Snap to Page, Snap to Guidlines /but only if you have guidlines/6. Turn on Show grid as lines7. When you drawing is better to draw / drag from node to node of grid8. Set Options/Snap to object snapping radius to 20-35I hope this helpsGreetings!
