Hi,
I'm really hoping someone can help me.
I am engraving pet tags and each tag has different names on them. I have tag jig files made up that have each pet tag shape and inside each tag has variable lines eg : <tag16line1> please see image.I also have TXT files that has the details (pets names) that need to be imported into the variable lines of each tag in the jig file (image attached). I have no idea how to import them into this file. Hoping someone can please help me?
I solved a similar problem. Watch the video please.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyNBw9Y5GfwTaras
thanks Taras. I dont think this is exactly what it is, as we are importing from TXT files and the variables are already setup. We have been given these files to use by another engraving business that uses them.
HI, that's too many different fields to set up. Would be easier to have many rows with less fields.
Maybe this video I made for you will show you some ideas.
Hi Jeff,
Thank you very much for your video. However the engraving company we are working for need us to use the same jig files as they have an app that creates the txt files automatically from customers orders on their wesbite. They have been using the app for many years. They have sent us instructions on how to import the txt files into corel draw however when we do this for some reason the txt files come out as fields in the print merge. I will attach the instructions for you to have a look and a TXT file. thanks I really appreciate your help with this.
