I see that alot of people had this 'hanging install" issue with CDX8, and resolved it by uninstalling certain versions of Visual C++ .I am trying to install CD2017 and am running into an install hang.Is there a different work-around now, or is the current go-to uninstalling some C++? There MANY versions on my PC.
TIA!!
I believe Eric has your answer, doing a nearly 800MB install wireless can be wonky.
Seems like I am not alone. It has been a year that I have a problem with the installation of CD 2017 over X6. originally I was using the university license fro X6, but the university stopped with the site license, so I bought an educational version of CD2017. that is when the problems started, so I switched back to X6, and then it slowed down, and menus were not showing. so I tried to reinstall my 2017 version and that is when it all fell apart. The support I have been getting was OK initially but right after it installed, it would not let me login. It repeatedly asks me to change the password, and then, it would not accept it saying there are two accounts registered !!!!!. If I could get all my graphics converted to a different platform, I would do it as I can not afford spending months on installing a software I use only 5% of its capabilities just for Engineering technical drawings.
