I have been a user of Adobe Photoshop for quite a long time now but it does a lot more than I actually ever need it to do so have started uisng Photo-Paint to see what it was like.
One thing that I seem to be missing though is the abiloty to select the contents of a layer which is something I use quite frequently in Photoshop.
For anybody who is familiar with Photoshop, in your layer list if you hold "Ctrl" and click on the layer it will make a selection of the contents of that layer. I can't seem to find away to do this in Photo-Paint, I am sure there must be a way but I can't seem to find it.

With the object layer highlighted use CTRL+M.
