Hi,
Does anyone know of a Macro available that you can set some standard settings once for your PDF output and then activate the macro and it will publish a PDF with those settings automatically in a specified folder without any further input from the user?
Sort of a set it and forget it one button push publish to pdf macro?

Really, not, although you use always the same settings for publish as PDF. But even if you use only one setting and if you will use a macro, you should customize your options for Publish as PDF, so you can save your settings (for example, "PDF/X-1a AA6 curves" as you suggested) at the same time, then assign a shortcut seems more easy than create a macro for call it... specially if you need to add a shortcut or a new icon for use the macro! (go to Tools/macros/ choose macro, etc) is a very long path).
So, it takes less time than create a macro, because is two steps: 1 - save settings and 2 - add shortcut or icon. Creating a macro means 3 steps: 1 - save settings, 2 create a macro and 3 - add shortcut or icon. Moreover, not all people know how to create a macro.
Btw, I know that create a macro allows a lot of features, specially if you include on this macro the option "use the same folder than the original file", I use several macros everyday for improve my work, and one of the features I love and use a lot is for export images (JPG for proof) on the same folder than the original CDR file. So, I'm not against to develop a macro, just I mentioned that could be an alternative for automate the process.
