I am editing a hundred or soccer photos for my daughter's team. Many of these photos are taken at awkward angles and need straightening. I am occasionally getting crashes while trying to straighten using the "Straighten Image" tool. It seems to happen most often when there is more than 2 degrees needed, or when I slide the tool one way and then the other. Anyone else have this problem?

Hunter said: I have no probs using the Straighten Image tool (Win7pro, 64bit, 6GB RAM, video card is a lower end ATI) Are you *sure* it's an "X5" issue and not a *profile* issue? Have you done and F8 to reset your profile to its defaults and tried again?
I just tried the F8 reset. Still crashes on Straighten Image.

Hmmm. The only thing that stands out is the fact that of the three who have mentioned their GPU, the two that are having problems are using NVIDIA GeForce Cards. To small of a sample to call it conclusive but.....
...more input is needed.
I do not have X5. Just making an observation.
Hi Hunter,
It would be nice to hear from Corel on this issue once and for all: Whether video card brand makes any difference.
FMIU, the image is rendered by Draw and sent to the card as a simple image. That means a 32 MB card will the same result as a 1 GB card.
I don't think Draw uses a GPU for anything. But... we hopefully learn soon...

Hunter said:Yeah, I've never been a fan of the Nvidia cards/chipsets. I've just tended to see more problems with them in various apps (nothing specific that I can point out, however). If it helps those analyzing the data my ATI card is Radeon HD 4650 and I did grab the 64-bit drivers from AMD/ATI.
