Heya everyone,
Does anyone happen to know if there is somewhere online where I can find pre-made vector versions of police badges? Or would I just have to recreate the one that I have? The problem I have is the scans that I have are low res that I can't see details to work from.
Thanks again, Matt
Hello Again Matt; It took me 2 weeks to get the rights to use the state seal for one of there on police department. for police cars. You may be able to contact the state and get a vector drawing of the seal. Another thought is get a good raster drawing and get it printed on vinyl.

Oh, Matt, I see the picture you have posted in here. Do you want us to vectorize for you? Or you already got what you wanted? Promise that we are not going to charge any but perhaps we could share this file to everyone here?
George...
I am looking for a badge to use in a tee shirt layout. This badge in a vector format, would work for me. I am located in Fort Worth, Texas. My email address is jerry@reddogstudios.com . Thank you in advance for your help.

Okey, there are several ways to solve this, question is if the client is ready to pay for the time consuming work. Many hours.
The leavesIf you dont have vectorized leaves to use and put together then one thing is, and here comes the time consuming work part 1 ( I wont go in to Part 2, part 3, part 4...), open the image in PHOTO-PAINT and draw the outlines with a wacom pen, all the leaves and all those details by hand with a wacom pen tablet. Create a new object on top of this image and carefully draw the leaves and ornaments.
I have made this detailed work myself drawn from scratch and then converted to vector. But its time consuming, and you should not expect TRACE to do all trace for you in one go. This can take time. But its doable. I have done it myself. But you should see it as a combo of DRAW and PP.

There is a young man in Mansfield, Texas that changes drawings and clipart to vector art. His name is Aubrey and his company email address is logofax@logofax.com and his phone # is 817.572.0141. He is very good with detailed graphics. His prices are very reasonable. you might want to contact him. I have used him for detailed drawings. Good luck.
