cutting line for silhoutte cameo

You can try creating a vector object using an outline colour spot colour named CutContour and send it to the cutter to see if it cuts.

To make the spot colour available in CorelDraw:

• Window > colour palettes > colour palette manager
• Find the Roland Versaworks palette ( in palette libraries > spot > roland) and double click on it.

You should now see a palette with four colours. The magenta at the top is CutContour. and can be applied to the outline of any vector object.

The CutContour name is supported by many cutters but I've no idea whether yours will do so. It is also important that you do not convert it to RGB or CMYK either before or during output.

hey harry i used the cutcontour and it was supported by silhoutte studio,but there is one problem...i have my cutcontour outline in my jpeg image to be cut and printed in silhoutte studio but when i save my file in .DXF only the cutting line appear in silhoutte studio no jpeg image that i have outline...

Is DXF the only format that it supports?

it also support, .gsd, .png, .bmp, .jpeg, .tiff...i need to save it as one
so that when i open it in silhoutte studio i already have a cutting line around the image i want to print to cut....so many tnx for your rply

I've never come across gsd files but the others are bitmap formats, so I would think are not really appropriate for a cutting path which is vector information.

As far as I can see, DXF should support bitmaps. You could check that the bitmap is actually in your DXF, by importing it back to an empty CorelDraw document. Beyond that, it is entirely down to your cutter software whether it recognises and uses the bitmap.
