How to print 300 dpi in HP 1020 plus printer

I have install a HP Laserjet 1020 & 1015 printers that connects to USB under windows XP. In our printed output we need graphics to be printed in 300 dpi. but only two options (600 dpi & 1200 dpi.) are available. How to solve this ???

  • if your printer is Postscript, you can have the same result using a lower value of lines per inch (LPI) under the Postscript tab. Uusally, postscript pirinters use 55 or 60 lpi for print at 300 dpi quality, 85 / 90 lpi for print at 600 dpi and 110/120 for print at 1200 dpi quality. Lower values should create bigger dots
    • Are you using a driver provided by M$, or by HP? On the HP driver, 600x600 DPI is going to be "best" or "normal", and 600x300 or 300x300 will be "draft". But for customize the settings of your printer for 300 dpi check Hp LaserJet 1020 Manual. This might work if not then approach HP support community.
