Can not get X6 to recognize my scanner under acquire. It is a Muzteck USB3 2400 Pro.
Hello ecp; No one is able to scan from Corel yet, there are work around programs that people are using, do a search on the forum for scanning in X6. ( I just use X4 to scan with so I don't have the patch ) But Corel is aware of the problem. Here is a address to where people are getting a answer for the scanning,http://stefanlindblad-english.blogspot.se/2012/03/scanning-coreldraw-x6-64-bit-macro-from.html

Well, make that "No one With the 64 bit X6 is able to scan...."
This is due to the fact that 64 bit TWAIN drivers for scanners have the commonality of chicken teeth. And X6-64 bit needs a true 64 bit TWAIN driver.
Under Win 7, 32 bit, I can scan directly from CDX6 (File / Acquire image / Select source).
This is another reason of being a bit reticiente with technological innovations, especially when there is the Microsoft's hand.
I think 64 bit is not yet an absolutely reliable option (IMO).

What's a bit funny, is Visual Studio 2010 is only 32-Bit. If you write ActiveX components, you have to do 32-Bit and 64-Bit versions. The 32-Bit versions are used in the IDE of your compiler and only when you compile your 64-Bit app are the 64-Bit versons even used.
I remember in the old, old days, you had to write and compile Windows Apps in DOS and just hope they worked when you ran Windows. Kind of the same thing...except .NET is cool, the CPU and OS doesn't matter much and you don't have to do alot of hocus pocus to get things to work.
...actually 64-Bit stuff is really pretty reliable and stable now. I wouldn't of said that a year or two ago.
