The following sections describe the new features and improvements included in Update 1.
This new docker replaces the original Align and Distribute dialog box, letting you access all options from one convenient location. You can also instantly view the effect of changes as you modify the options in the docker. By default, objects are aligned and distributed based on their paths, but you can also align and distribute objects from the edge of their outlines, or align objects with a reference point by specifying exact x and y coordinates.
View, arrange and edit color styles and color harmonies even more easily. You can also now reorder and reassign colors from one harmony onto another by dragging them. A visual indicator also shows which color has been selected in the docker and provides the option to specify the brightness value of any selected color. When editing a color harmony in the Harmony editor, you can also now constrain the movement of the selector ring to preserve the original saturation and hue.
Now CorelDRAW Graphics Suite offers native support for Scanning using Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) v 2.0, including support for 64-bit multi-area scanning, Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) and more.
Using the enhanced PowerClip Frame page in the Options dialog box, you can now set the default behavior for dragging content to PowerClip frames. This allows you to center new content and mark empty PowerClip frames from one convenient central location.
In Corel® PHOTO-PAINT™, you can now use the Quick Pan mode to switch from any active tool to the Pan tool.
Now you can apply advanced OpenType typography features to Asian text. Adjust widths, forms and vertical metrics. Additional new options let you replace the standard kana glyph with a horizontal and vertical version. Plus, you can now substitute characters with forms suitable for vertical text, letting you rotate characters 90 degrees.

not really a fix. 64bit x6 still can't use a scanner.
Hello Bill;

Mine Works Just Fine.
George
I have the new version.
However, I had to so something odd to get WIA. I had to add the printer as a device, again, so it appears twice in the device list, in order for ONLY Acquire and WIA to be available. Now - I have the printer listed twice for printing options.
And WIA for me, is not acceptable, because I rather have the actual software that supports the scanner than this inferior WIA. The WIA does not allow me to descreen, or even zoom in on the scan preview or apply any of the other features the scanner supports when scanning. I don't know if its that the printer doesn't support WIA of if its a Win7 thing. I honestly can't see why x6 Win7 64 bit fails so hard at using TWAIN. So - whatever I scan in x6 has to be decreened manually, and I really don't know how to do that if its possible - the scanner always does a great job for me. So - its back to going out of the program for any scanning that needs descreening. I am using Epson 845 Workforce, its a new printer, by Epson, and a popular item, and the drivers for it are one package for all Windows operating systems.
According to this: http://community.coreldraw.com/blogs/feeds_en/archive/2012/03/26/coreldraw-x6-64-bits-scanning-twain-drivers-and-wia.aspx Corel is creating support for WIA. How does a company, that boosts that its software is a leader in printing, not support descreening? And a maximum of 300 dpi.
