I got calls from 3 of the DRAW users that some of the fonts are not displaying correctly since they have updated their Windows today. I have not yet connected my laptop to internet. Shall check it and try to identify the culprit update. Any light on this is appreciated.
Few fonts known for not displaying correctly since today
Diavlo_MEDIUM_II_37.otf and its family with light, black etc.Myriaid PRO
I can confirm this font issue also on both 32 bit and 64 bit CorelDRAW X6 versions. I have a screenshot of all Windows Updates that were supposed to be completed on my machines. KB2753842 is in the list...haven't tried to install the rest of the updates but now I will and omit the others.
Glad others are reporting on this issue. Running System Restore will get your machine back to normal as long as you have it running and enough restore points to choose from.
My culprit font was the Birch Standard Open Type font...literally disappeared from my files, that means not visible in outline mode - kapoof! Gone...Also, when typing out a new sentence in that font it would display briefly until I clicked off of it and then it would disappear also.
I have now completed all the rest of the updates in this list and verified both 32bit and 64bit CorelDRAW versions and indeed it is KB2753842 since that was the only update I did not install on either machine.
I think a statement by Corel is overdue.
Because only Corel products are affected by this update.

Not true. It appears it's affecting Flex sign software as well. I would expect there's other software affected as well. This is obviously a Microsoft issue.

Well as more times goes on I am moving closer and closer to Illustrator anyhow, mind you, I am not going to install that MS update just to see if it breaks Illy too - which, it sounds like it would.
Granted, this does appear to be a MS issue at this point but still, it's time to let the shirts know how I feel...my frustration is not just misdirected at Corel for this issue, it's for all the previous ones over the years...
I am just getting sick and tired of all the endless bugs in CorelDRAW release after release. I wish I had never updated to X6 and kept my files saved out to X5 or else I'd drop Corel altogether. I hate to say that after it's been with me all these years but it comes to a point in time where you draw a line in the sand and say enough is enough. You can't get back the endless hours of your life screwing around with things.

Check out the Illustrator forums. Shouldn't take too long to figure out that Corel is not unique when it comes to bugs.
Here is my complete list of major software released without bugs that didn't require a service pack or update after release:
Annnnnnd done.
And here's mine who charge $499 for each service pack, er, major release: CORELDRAW GRAPHICS SUITE (insert version here).
