CorelDraw X6, Windows 8 Missing Fonts and 'stopped working'

All,

I've had X6 installed on Win7 without much problem.  Now I've installed Win8, installed and downloaded all the updates for CorelDraw X6 (64-bit) Version 16.2.0.998 (education version) and I'm having some problems opening my older files.

I'm regularly getting the dialog box "Font Substitution for Missing Fonts".  No fonts are listed.

I've seen this on some other posts but haven't seen a solution.

Someone suggested to just click 'ok' and manually try to identify the missing font, but when I do that it crashes with the message: "CorelDRAW X6 (64-Bit) has stopped working - A problems caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" with a "Close Program" button.

If you click the close program button, it just closes CorelDraw.

I've tried an uninstall, re-install, Window 8 Refresh etc... nothing seems to work.

If I take the exact same file I'm having problems with over to my laptop, I can open it without any problems using Win7 and the same version of CorelDraw X6.
