Sorry if this has already been answered (new to the forum) but even after searching for answers I'm still confused about Standard Membership.
I have signed up to Corel.com and registered our copy of X6. By doing this I've successfully updated the program and applied the hot fix too. Good so far.
But is this the free Standard Membership? In My Account there is nothing noted under Memberships and Subscriptions. So how may I sign up for one please?
Also I keep seeing mention of being able to sign in to the Standard Membership within X6 itself, presumably to access online content (istockphoto etc. just aren't active in my Connect). Where do I do this please? I keep looking but can find no link in the menus, and I don't see a 'little man' icon at the bottom right of my screen either.
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
You don't have the symbols below on your status bar? The top one is if you are signed out and the other one is signed in. Or go to Help>Sign in or out. Unless you paid an additional $99 for the Premium Membership, you have the Standard.
Thanks for the reply Evan53. Unfortunately I've never had either the red or green icon appear on the status bar at all:
And when I go to 'Help' there is no option to sign in either:
Confused.
It doesn't sound like you are registered. Your Help menu is also missing a couple of account items.
What does Help>About CorelDraw say as far as registration?
About CorelDraw says 'This copy is registered to:' followed by my employer's ICT dept. name and there's a Source ID number shown too.
Our ICT guys installed it on my machine here at work yesterday and, working with them, I registered it at Corel.com this morning opening an account under my work email address.
You said you had installed the updates and the hotfix, right?
Just to be sure, check Help > About CorelDRAW > version 16.x.x.xxx
The membership thing was introduced with X6.1, so if you still have X6.0 you wont see the little red/green man.
