I am just now realizing that Corel has 3 major raster editing programs.
Who can concisely tell me the differences from a tool/workflow standpoint?
Reason for this question is I'm thinking of dropping the $60 on PaintShop just to get the warp brush...
Painter is the "industry standard" painting program
Paintshop Pro is Photoshop at 1% of the price and 99% of the (useful) features
PhotoPaint needs an overhaul, and has some things that Paintshop pro doesnt have, and vice versa.
Here is one done in Painter....

Did you do these in Painter from scratch, or modified from a photo?

[/quote] My workflow with these varies, but generally start with a photo, into PhotoPaint for background changes and so forth, then into Painter for painting. I have done some from scratch but it takes too long. This one, for instance had a light grey/white background, so it was changed to dark brown. It was printed and sent to Cuba for a special birthday gift (as were the others) to the grandmother at right. These next ones have the original inset to give a better idea.

Awesome. I'll have to download the trial of painter(lite most likely) Paint Shop Pro's warp brush is awesome.

Mike, Download the full version of Painter, you wont regret it. Just be for-warned, it takes time to understand this software. I had to create ALL of my own custom brush variants to get exactly what I was after. Also, there is lots of new terminology to learn as well.
