Hi.
A friend was looking for a Soft Inside Bevel Macro. Can anyone post a link to something, or similar. I know many of you are using Brian's macros and I think I heard it mentioned. If anyone can post a link here or info about one of Brian's macros that can do this it would be great.
Thanks,
~John
Are you referring to the BDinnershadow macro? https://coreldraw.com/forums/p/25929/121541.aspx#121541
Thanks Mike, that one is close but lack one important part of the bevel, that is the shiny highlights. I'd ideally want any macro enthusiast to make a macro on the following technique.
Here's my doodle...
'bevel testSub bevelTest() Dim s As Shape, s1 As Shape, s2 As Shape, sTrimmed As Shape, sTrimmed2 As Shape Dim dMove#, dDiv#, strBlurRadius$ Set s = ActiveShape If s Is Nothing Then Exit Sub If Not s.IsSimpleShape Then Exit Sub If s.Type = cdrBitmapShape Then Exit Sub If s.Type <> cdrCurveShape Then s.ConvertToCurves ActiveDocument.Unit = cdrInch dDiv = 0.5 dMove = 0.1 strBlurRadius = 5000 Set s1 = s.Duplicate Set s2 = s.Duplicate s1.Move dMove, dMove * -1 Set sTrimmed = s.Trim(s1, True, False) sTrimmed.Fill.UniformColor.RGBAssign 0, 0, 0 s2.Move dMove * -1, dMove s2.CreateSelection Set sTrimmed2 = s.Trim(s2, True, False) sTrimmed2.Fill.UniformColor.RGBAssign 255, 255, 255 Set s1 = sTrimmed.ConvertToBitmap(, True, , True, 300, cdrNormalAntiAliasing) s.CreateSelection s1.Bitmap.ApplyBitmapEffect "Gaussian Blur", "GaussianBlurEffect GaussianBlurRadius=" & strBlurRadius s1.Move (dMove * dDiv) * -1, dMove * dDiv s1.AddToPowerClip s Set s1 = sTrimmed2.ConvertToBitmap(, True, , True, 300, cdrNormalAntiAliasing) s.CreateSelection s1.Bitmap.ApplyBitmapEffect "Gaussian Blur", "GaussianBlurEffect GaussianBlurRadius=" & strBlurRadius s1.Move dMove * dDiv, (dMove * dDiv) * -1 s1.AddToPowerClip sEnd Sub
Hi John,
It will be great if it prompts for the things like the Shadow color and Blur amount and it will be even cooler if this macro has an interface with all such options like thickness of shadow and highlights and blur value and color etc.

First, I don't think i got the blur right. Which blur are you using?
@ John
Just the Gaussian Blur.
Aleem, that's exactly how I used to do it. Cool to know someone else new that trick. Just got tired of going that route. I use photo paints "plastic" texture now. Still a pain.
What about a macro to convert your shape/text to 150dpi rgb bitmap with transparency then edit bitmap and apply texture/plastic.
